Peace: Shalom from Eden to Eternity

On August 21, 2026, Resonate the Word releases Peace, a 20-song album in the Resonance Worship Series. The world offers peace as the absence of trouble. The Bible offers something far greater — a peace that begins in the garden, is shattered by sin, promised through the prophets, embodied in Jesus Christ, purchased at the cross, and will one day be made complete forever when God dwells with His people and wipes away every tear.

This is not a collection of vague, feel-good anthems about "inner calm." It is a theologically grounded, scripturally faithful exploration of shalom — the wholeness, security, and reconciliation that only God can give. As Jesus told His disciples, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid" (John 14:27).

From Eden's peace to Eden lost

Peace traces the story from Genesis to Revelation, with each of the twenty original songs rooted in a specific passage of Scripture and placed in the chronological order those events and truths unfold across the biblical narrative. It opens in "Peace in the Garden," where man and woman walk with God unashamed (Genesis 2:15, 25), then turns to "When Peace Was Lost" as sin fractures that fellowship — yet even there, God plants a promise (Genesis 3:8-10, 15).

From there the album follows God's covenant faithfulness through "The Bow in the Clouds" (Genesis 9) and "Jehovah Jireh's Peace" (Genesis 22), His guiding presence in "Pillar of Fire" (Exodus 13-14), and the priestly blessing spoken over Israel in "The Priestly Blessing" (Numbers 6:24-26). "Strong and Courageous" carries Joshua's charge into the promised land (Joshua 1), while "Still Waters" and "Be Still" rest in the quiet confidence of the Psalms (Psalm 23; Psalm 46).

The Prince of Peace

"Perfect Peace" and "Prince of Peace" lean into Isaiah's promises of a coming King whose kingdom of peace will have no end (Isaiah 26; 9:6-7), and "By His Wounds" sits at the center of the album with the suffering Servant who bore our punishment so that peace could be ours (Isaiah 53:3-6). The angels' announcement over Bethlehem arrives in "Glory to God (Peace on Earth)" (Luke 2:8-14), before Jesus Himself calms the storm in "Peace, Be Still" (Mark 4:35-41) and comforts His disciples before the cross in "My Peace I Give You" and "Take Heart" (John 14:1, 27; 16:33).

The peace secured through His blood is proclaimed in "Peace With God" (Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:13-14) and at His resurrection in "Peace Be With You" (John 20:19-21). "The Peace That Passes Understanding" offers the practical peace available through prayer instead of anxiety (Philippians 4:6-7), and the album closes with "No More Tears," the eternal peace awaiting God's people in the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:1-4).
