Introducing Resonate the Word: The Bible in Song

In late 2024, a simple conviction took shape in Nashville: the Word of God deserves to be heard not only on the page, but also in song. That conviction became Resonate the Word, a project of Resounding Faith Music dedicated to transforming Scripture into music that inspires worship, reflection, and deeper engagement with the Bible.

Primary songwriter and producer Jeff Barnette leads the creative work. The project is built as a collective of independent artists, but the aim is never celebrity. The aim is the text. Every album is crafted so that biblical truth can be accessible, memorable, and faithful.

What we believe about the Word

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 teaches, all Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. That conviction shapes everything we write and record.

We hold to the foundational truths of historic Christianity as revealed in Scripture: one eternal God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, who died for sinners and rose bodily from the dead; salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone; and the church's calling to worship God and make disciples. We avoid denominational agendas and extra-biblical traditions, letting the text speak for itself.

Why song?

Music is not a substitute for reading Scripture. It is a companion to it. Melodies help the mind remember what the heart needs to recall in ordinary days: promises in trouble, warnings against drifting, and the hope of the gospel. From the Psalms themselves to the hymns of the church, God's people have long sung the truth so it would dwell richly among them (Colossians 3:16).

Resonate the Word exists to serve that same pattern in a contemporary key. We want listeners to encounter the Bible's story, book by book and theme by theme, with theological depth and musical excellence.

Where we are headed

In 2025 and beyond, our vision is a comprehensive musical journey through Scripture. That includes the Bible Book Series, moving through the books of the Bible with care, and the Resonance Worship Series, themed albums drawn from key biblical truths. Along the way we will also release singles and curated collections that gather albums into larger arcs.
