   From Abraham’s call to David’s throne, Generations named, by promise known. Of Mary born, by Spirit’s breath, Emmanuel come, God clothed in flesh. Star proclaimed what prophets saw, Kings from afar to worship draw. Herod trembled, rage unsealed, Yet God preserved what heaven revealed. In Jordan’s stream the heavens part, The Father speaks, the Spirit marks. Led to the wilderness, tested alone, Faithful Son stands on written Word alone. Blessed the poor, the meek, the pure, A kingdom promised, steadfast, sure. Law fulfilled, not cast aside, Hearts laid bare where motives hide. Son of David, promised Seed, All the prophets find their creed. From suffering Servant to reigning King, The kingdom comes by what You bring. Not by blood nor fleshly claim, But by the Father’s calling name. Built on truth the Son declared, A living people, taught and sent.
